 Good News And A Joke.

Hiya Streameronis!

I got nuthin but I wanted to keep my blog a bit more active so I will share a joke that a family member sent....... btw... I have my digital home studio back now and my keyboards so I am back in the business of writing and recording my music. I should be able to update new music to my music page very soon. Things ARE getting better.... finally!

Have a great day!

A Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike
English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.

'House' for instance, is feminine: 'la casa.'
'Pencil,' however, is masculine: 'el lapiz.'

A student asked, 'What gender is 'computer'?'

Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether computer' should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.

The men's group decided that 'computer' should definitely be of the feminine gender ('la computadora'), because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

(THIS GETS BETTER!)

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine ('el computador'), because:

1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;
2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

The women won.

 BOOKS! BOOKS! BOOKS!

*Grabs a bookmarker*

Um... hiya Streamer Beamers.

I am here to check in on one of my favorite things about being alive and having eyes.... no, not Bolivian midget porn... I'm talking books, folks!

I am always in the midst of some big reading project it seems.... and today is no different.

I currently have THREE books going on.....

I am getting near the end of "Washing Of The Spears"... that's the book about the Zulus of South Africa and the war of their eradication by those very nasty imperialist British... it's a great book and I would have finished it long ago if it wasnt for pesky LIFE getting in the way!

BUT... I also am reading two other books... one is a loooooong and in depth history of the church in England, imaginatively titled... "A History Of The Church In England". I had picked it up to just leaf through it and got hooked. It's really good and I'm about halfway through that one..

The third book I have going right now is "No Man's Land" by John Toland (one of my favorite history authors)... it's about the final year of World War I and I have found it quite compelling, like I do all of Toland's books. That's a library book and must be returned next week so it's getting the most time right now....

Oh, and on my lunch hour I am usually found down the street from work sitting in a comfy chair at the bookstore checking out all kinds of books and magazines for FREE! I guess I need to buy something before I get tapped on the shoulder and asked why I am loitering there everyday without making a purchase.

I also do a Bible reading once a day too.... and I like to check out a road atlas while in the bathroom doing my randy business.

So, there you have it..... and if I'm not reading, I am probably blogging.......

Anyone reading anything good right now?
