Life After The Hollow

 Frogs, Moths, And Bats.

Ahhhhhh... Springtime in southern Appalachia. The foliage has pretty much filled out here in the valley and will very soon on the mountain tops.... everything is vibrant and blossuming.... The days are lovely, but the nights are a special time too... there is a low area in the woods across the way and after the rain it fills up and gives the frogs a place to make baby frogs.... I know they are back now, because I can hear the chorus of croaks and bellowing and all the other sounds frogs make when they are happy....

The other sign that Spring in here is the giant moths that show up every year. They are back. The biggest moths I have ever seen... they come around the carport light and they also like to gather near the yard floodlight. They vary from a rich brown and tan to an intricate green pattern on their huge wings.... and I think most of them become dinner for the bats. Yes, the bats have always been some of my favorite critters here in the Hollow. They swoop and dive around the light out front, feeding on the moths and other unfortunate bugs that are called to the light.... I've already had one swoop down near my head this year as I was out answering nature's call in the front yard. (one of my FAVORITE things about country living... The yard as a place to smell the fresh air and see the stars, while pee-peeing!)

The Chameleons are out now too. There are two so far and they hold court on the back porch during the day. I think they are used to me because they don't skitter away when I come close in to observe them... instead, they hunch up their backs and puff up their throats as if to intimidate me...maybe their mating call?

I love this time of year!

Er..... it's time to move on from that last subject. A banner day here in the Hollow. I think I am going to catch up on some other blogs...

Besides! I've got to do a bunch of blow pop licking over at Bella's!

Thanks to all the great Streamers who make this sucker tick.

This has been too much fun!

 "Dear Abby" - Reissue

Um.... I had forgotten about this little slice of Un-PC from last September. Seeing it again makes me cringe. (WHY does stuff like this just pop in my head with no invitation?),but after the initial slap in the face wore off I'll admit I reread it and I kinda liked it. This is the stuff that make Mom so proud of me. I have issues. Enjoy! or Tolerate! or something.

Dear Abby,

I am in a bit of a quandry!

See, I fell in love with a girl, well two girls kinda, cuz they are siamese twins. It's Kerry and Teri. They are HOT! but connected and just one person from the chest down. So, I got Kerry and Teri on top and then....

Well, I fell hard for Kerry but then Teri started winking at me when I was making out with Kerry and then one night when Kerry was asleep I slept with Teri., which means I kinda slept with Kerry too.

I'm confused as a Bolivian midget porn star with erectile dysfunction.

Is this relationship wrong?

... and how do I explain to Kerry what happened about my passionate side fling with Teri?

Please help me, Abby!

Sincerely,

Randy420

2. Don't think. Just do, son.
3. Where the hell is my car, son?
4. Quit making love to that pillow, son.
5. Can you PLEASE turn down that music, son?

Ok. All those are from my dear Dad, except the first one which is from "Animal House"
