Life After The Hollow

 I Wish I was A Photographer.

I wish I was a professional photographer.... The real estate world holds no joy for me and is only a means to raise the funds to do the things I love.....but alas, that's the way the world works....*shrug*

so, here's a few more shots that I don't believe I have shared here before..

Weiss Lake, Alabama

A trotline cross, Weiss Lake, Alabama

Guntersville Lake, Alabama

Pigeon Mountain, Georgia

Leaves in Stream, Georgia

Sunset over The Hollow, Alabama

This is a photo of the moon where I intentionally moved the camera during the shot and came up with this strange little picture.

Here's LuLu and Randy Jr. playing...they are best buds!

Ha! This is one of my fave pics from the weekend! Randy Jr. and LuLu getting bored with the whole event!

I've got some stories to share about the weekend and some more photos to share as well, later in the week....

 A Sliver Of Light.......

....Most of you would never guess that I am a deeply spiritual man based upon much of the content of my silly blog here, but I am.... I don't say that to prop myself on high....some of my favorite people in my life aren't necessarily very spiritual, and that's fine...because being spiritual can sometimes be a curse. I look for signs or messages everywhere, and when I receive a message or a sign, I pray and meditate the thing to such a point that I often miss what God is quietly trying to teach me....God speaks to me in very soft whispers...in the words of others or in things I see around me and even occasionally by putting something in my heart that is far too profound and beautiful to have ever been created within my worldly self... In my impatience, I want God to part the Red Sea for me every single day, but of course God will not bend to my selfish and shallow need for instant fulfillment... that's why I get so frustrated and infuriated with Him.... I think of times when I have fallen to my knees and looked to the sky and have demanded "Do Something! I'm giving up!!.....God loves me too much to part the heavens before me in order for me to get the instant gratification that souls like me demand....God does not "enable"... and after I am done raging, I tearfully submit to His will and wait......The place I am going with this is that I was driving around last night in an outrageously selfish snit, because I found that the world will not conform to my whims like I demand it to, to keep me "happy".... and that's when I saw it....the sign.... The moon was setting in the western sky just after sundown and it was all but a "new Moon", meaning, there was just a sliver of light across the shadowed body of our heavenly neighbor.... It was so subtle, but it struck deep into my aching heart like an arrow... Often the Sun is used as a metaphor to show us the light in our world....but the sun is too bright for me and a beautiful full moon often distracts me from the true message.... through the enveloping bitter darkness that's invaded my heart lately, that sliver of moonlight spoke to me in a deeply spiritual way...... I won't share the message other than to say I will not give up.

I will never, ever give up.

Thank you, my Father, for talking to me last night.

Peace, and thanks for letting me share something real about myself today.
