I got a "secret shopper" last week and I scored a 96.7 They are very pleased with me up at work and that pleases me...

I STILL have some mild cold symptoms..... cant seem to totally lick that one!

I've been feeling better emotionally the last week or so..... more level, less snappy and ill. A good thing there.

Cowboys and Packers head off this week! THE game of the year for me! Kristin and I will still be friends although we are rabid fans of opposing teams there! Goooooo Cowboys!

Hiya Streamers!

Well, as I approach the 20,000th hit for my little blog that was started to discuss my squirrel and gardening issues, I wanted to stop and give thanks to the visitors who have made this thing work for me.......... I have had a great time here with more laughs than I can ever recall.... it's been a very rich experience too.... a real melting pot of great personalities..... some beautiful, loving and creative souls here....... it's the commentors who have made this such a special thing for me and I have made some wonderful friends!

A big thanks goes out to my buddy, Belle..... she was my first regular visitor and she kept me plugging away at this when I nearly gave up on it in the early days....... and a big thanks to all the other regular visitors who I have grown to love so much...... now if I can just get my Mom to come back!

I have been able to share my ups and downs in a candid nature because of the trust that has developed between the members here and myself...... so, I'll keep plugging away at this..... maybe I'll even do a serious post again!

So, Hey-ya, Streamers.... I just wanted to check in with an update..... car is still in the shop but it's done.... just gotta work out the tricky details of getting Secret's van back to her AND getting the car which is 25 miles from the Hollow.... I'll git er done...... I'm off tomorrow for Thanksgiving and will probably go eat with a friend from work..... the holidays are a tough time for me...... I always miss my son and family, but it's worse during the holidays..... they being so far away and me being here in Alabama, where I really dont fit in anymore........ I'm thinking about moving to Atlanta (my hometown!) in the next year or two..... better opportunities and a return to city life..... a fresh start without all the ghosts of Dallas there to haunt me...... there is some good news.... I got a call from my music partner who says I am needed to write and perform some music for a documentary about the civil rights movement that's being filmed, and she also says that her son loved the "Surrender" song that I recorded and that he would like to have a shot at putting his vocals on it..... he's a very talented singer and I think he could take the song to places I couldnt take it..... so I am gonna give him the backing tracks and let him have a go at it.

That's about it..... I still have some sniffles from my cold but I look and feel good these days........ Everyone have a very safe and peaceful Thanksgiving holiday!
